BOOK CLUB Blog #5: What Do Other Readers Think About Your Book? Part 1: Go to the Goodreads site and find your book. Read through your book's reviews. BEWARE of ones that suggest they have SPOILERS (this means that they give away important details or the ending). Part 2: Find a review that you can disagree with... a point of view or perspective that you find to be untrue or inaccurate. Copy enough of the text to your blog comment to clearly show the reviewer's perspective. Be sure to include a name and date added & include quotes around their words. Part 3: Explain your issues with the post. What has the reviewer stated that you find fault with? Why do you feel this way?

BOOK CLUB Blog #4: Large Group Discussion Part 1: Review your Discussion Notes and choose your TWO best responses. Copy and paste each into the blog, being sure to clearly label which type of response it is (Summary, Characters, Author's Craft, Overall Impressions). Part 2: Reply to your group. Read through EACH of your group members' comments and find SOMETHING to respond to, suggest, ask a question about, etc... . Be sure to continually check YOUR comments & replies and update accordingly. *You should have a MINIMUM of SEVEN total entries by the end of this discussion (1 comment & 6 replies).

BOOK CLUB Blog #2: Online Discussion Part 1: Did you keep the book you shared in Blog #1? a. Yes? State the title & author again and explain why you chose to keep it. b. No? List the new title & author and explain why you changed your book. Part 2: Introduce yourself to your group. What kind of reader are you? a. What are your thoughts on reading? Like? Dislike? Wish that you liked it? Wish you had more time for it? b. Are there any particular books that you have read and enjoyed? What types of stories do you usually like? Why? Part 3: REPLY to EACH of your new group members. Use Control F to find their names and then find something to thoughtfully respond to in each post.

FEAR Blog #3: Comment Part 1: What are your impressions of Stephen King ? Have you read anything else by him? Have you seen his movies? Do you enjoy his type of writing?  Do you have any comments on his life or work in general? Part 2: What are your thoughts on the story The Man in the Black Suit? What about it did you enjoy (or not enjoy)? Would you like to read anything else by him? Use a piece of TEXTUAL EVIDENCE in this portion of your comment. FEAR Blog #3: Replies Read through the posted blog comments. Reply to TWO. You may reply in anyway you wish... a general comment to connect to the writer... a question that you have about another person's thoughts... an opposing point that might challenge a conclusion. The goal in your replies is to extend the conversation .
